It is inevitable that teachers will encounter students with complex trauma, toxic stress, and/or defiant behaviors in the classroom. Without warning, the world can quickly turn upside down! However, teachers can learn to engage these students intentionally, through caring, transparent communication. This fosters a strong rapport that leads to greater trust, empathy, understanding, and ultimately student/teacher success! This session will focus on six steps teachers can take to engage challenging students/situations, and guide them to a place of successful communication and rapport. Please join me to make your classroom and school a better place. See you there!
